Stoke City was made to work to get a share of the points against a dogged Wigan side as the clubs qual 2-2, with two penalties for either side making the difference.

A rather sloppy first-half in the game was highlighted only by Wigan’s opener before the break, with Hugo Rodallega’s pounding run down the right flank leading to his low cross to find Victor Moses at the front post to toe-poke the ball past Thomas Sorenson.
