Manchester United took advantage of a controversial penalty decision to secure a 2-0 wining over QPR and move closer towards retaining the Premier League title.

Wayne Rooney scored the opener goal from the penalty spot after Shaun Derry was harshly sent off after being penalised for a challenge on Ashley Young in the box. The England winger appeared to be in an offside position as he looked to receive a Rooney through ball.
