SC Braga reached the championship lead, after having received the Academic and won 2-1. Braga had two goals scored in the first part, with the Academic and reduce scaring in the second.

The Academic came up well in the game but SC Braga quickly began to dominate, first threatened by Lima (Flavio saved on the line) and finally scoring two goals before the break, for Mossley and Lima (36 and 45 +1).

In the second half, the third goal could have arisen as early as 51 minutes by Hugo Viana but as time went by the home team seemed to go physically breaking.
