The Sporting defeated today at home to Rio Ave with a brilliant goal from Russian midfielder Marat Izmailov and climbed to fourth place in the table in the twenty-day, but remains tied with the Maritime.

Izmailov scored the winning goal on 35 minutes with a neat and quick release to thirty yards out that went almost through the center to an unsuspecting goalkeeper, Brazilian Huanderson da Silva.
