Matias Fernandez's late goal ensured Sporting Lisbon's progress to the last 16 of the Europa League this evening at the expense of Legia Warsaw.

The Portuguese team were heading through on the away goal rule after a 2-2 equal game in the first leg in Poland last week, but Fernandez bagged the only goal of tonight's second leg at the Estadio Jose Alvalade to make sure of the result.
