Pavel Pogrebnyak scored on his debut to help Fulham to a 2-1 Premier League win over Stoke City, the visitors slipping to a fourth consecutive defeat in spite of a late header from Ryan Shawcross.

Pogrebnyak opened his account in English football with a thumping finish after nearly 15 minutes after the ball dropped at his feet from a blocked shot, before Clint Dempsey's swerving shot came back off the bar and rebounded off Thomas Sorensen into the goal.
