Gary Hooper's first-half goal gave Celtic the win over Dundee United at Tannadice to cut the gap behind Clydesdale Bank Premier league leaders Rangers to four points.

The former Scunthorpe striker scored in the 12th minute, taking a James Forrest pass inside the United net before drilling the ball low past Dusan Pernis.
