Aston Villa moved back in the eighth place in the Premier League table as they held Swansea to a 0-0 draw at the Liberty Stadium in Sundays match.

Alex Mcleish’s side came in for fierce criticism after their abject showing against Spurs on Monday, a match which saw them put up no fight as they were defeated 2-0.

Following that result newly-promoted Swansea climb one place in the league table to 13th place.
