Andy Carroll's stoppage-time header gave Liverpool 2-3 wining on a farcical night in Blackburn when, for the second time in three games, Kenny Dalglish saw his goalkeeper receive a red card that will suspend him from Saturday's FA Cup semi-final against Everton at Wembley.

First it was José Reina's foolish use of the head at Newcastle. At Ewood Park it was the turn of his understudy, Doni, to see red card for a professional foul on Junior Hoilett that brought Brad Jones into the Liverpool goal five months after the death of his son.

Tottenham secured their place in the final four of the FA Cup after a dominant display over Bolton saw the club run out a deserved 3-1 win despite some goalkeeping heroics from Adam Bodgan during Tuesday night's rearranged quarterfinal clash at White Hart Lane.

The game was originally first played 10 days ago, but the match had to be abandoned after 23-year old Bolton midfielder Fabrice Muamba collapsed on the White Hart Lane pitch after suffering from a cardiac arrest.

Liverpool continued to the semi-finals of the FA Cup after beating Stoke 2-1 at Anfield thanks to strikes from Luis Suarez and Stewart Downing as they kept alive their pursuit of a cup double.

The Uruguayan gave the Reds the advantage with a great right-footed strike in the 22nd minute following a good attacking move by the home-side.

Fernando Torres finally re-found his scoring touch as Chelsea comfortably defeated Leicester City 5-2 at Stamford Bridge to progress to the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

Gary Cahill and Salomon Kalou gave the Blues a half-time advantage before the troubled Spaniard netted either side of Jermaine Beckford's clinical finish.

Late on, a wonder goal from Ben Marshall and a Raul Meireles tap-in gave the game an impressive scoreline.
