Borussia Moenchengladbach ended the first half of the Bundesliga after a 1-0 win against Mainz 05 with as many points as the last two generations of players no longer - but a knee injury to Marco Reus spoil the mood. Kaiserslautern, however, missed yet another home win.

Marco Reus also returned success: Borussia Moenchengladbach won after two games without a win in the end of the first round series against Mainz 1-0 (0-0). The surprise team demonstrated after 17 days of game with 33 points, fourth place will continue, up close to the tip. With 33 points, played Gladbach no longer such a strong first round as the last 35 years.
