APOEL have created history by becoming the first Cypriot side to qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League after facing a 0-0 draw against Zenit St Petersburg in Group G.

But the match ended goalless, leading to scenes of celebration on the APOEL dugout, who could celebrate being unquestionably the surprise package of this season's competition. Zenith remains in a strong position, however, and go through anyway, if Shakhtar Donetsk defeated Porto on Wednesday late evening.
